The Control of Corner Separation with Parametric Suction Side Corner Profiling on a High-Load Compressor Cascade

Nowadays, with the increase of thrust-to-weight ratio aero engines, high aerodynamic load has made corner separation an issue for axial compressors. The complex three-dimensional flow field makes it challenging to suppress separation, especially considering performance at multi-working conditions. To and reduce loss, investigation in this paper proposed a new parametric suction side profiling method, which includes few variables but enables flexible variation shape. A bi-objective auto-optimization design process was carried out on high-load linear compressor cascade, companion end wall blade profiling. aim investigate effective control rules practical guidelines its geometry under multiple working numerical results identified that brings much more dominant effect than most critical rule is accelerate climbing second bottom surface reverse trend boundary layer further relieve separation.
